CHILDREN'S CAMP
"The Treasure Hunters"
For ages 6-13 inclusive
The theme for the camp is related to the overall conference theme of "Living Gold." Gold-- and other precious items-- will be the treasures that the children will seek in nature, crafts, songs, dramatic scenes and new friendships!
After breakfast with their families, the children will go off with the camp directors for a story, singing, arts and crafts and more. There will be swimming, hiking, learning a play and hunting for treasure. At suppertime the children return to their parents and are welcome to come to the cultural events in the evenings.
On Sundays there will be a special Service for Children. On the last evening, Saturday, July 28th the camp will share some highlights from their treasure hunting.
The camp directors are two 26/27 year-old women who are veteran counselors of East Coast Christian Community children's camps and are currently students at the Seminary in Spring Valley. Abigail Dancey and Emma Heirman will coordinate the Children's Camp.
Thanks to a heavy subsidy from The Foundation, the fee to attend is only $100 per child. Parents are encouraged to sign children up for lunches on campus at an additional cost of $124. Food and accommodation costs are discounted by 50% for children 10 and under.
If you are planning to bring children please contact the Conference Coordinator directly prior to the conference.
CHILD CARE
Separate child Care for 5 and under will be available at a minimal cost. If requested in advance, we will make arrangements for child care for children 5 years of age and under.
YOUTH CONFERENCE
A special rate of $300 has been set for a simultaneous Youth Conference.
This special rate for Youth Conference registrants (ages 14-18 inclusive) includes conference fee and housing only. Cost for food is not included. Total meal package for the conference is $357 and can be selected on the registration form.
We are excited to announce that Richard Dancey and Craig Wiggins will be coordinating the Youth conference. In their words: "We'll work out everything we want to do together: what all we want to participate in and what we want to create and do on our own. We'll have our own small discussion group, decide what workshops we want to do, and then....kayaking,hiking, swimming, maybe an overnight on the beach, who knows what all. We'll just make sure --it's good as gold."
