Pure Gold, Like Clear Glass:
The Transformation of Gold in the New Jerusalem

Gold as we find it in the world does not reveal; it reflects, but as it reflects it transforms by adding its own color. Thus, the gold laid into the world can remind us of the wisdom underlying all creation. In the great city which we are even now preparing, gold will be transparent and open to all. When we dwell in the New Jerusalem, what will we see through the transparent gold?
